Acceptance test and training of Shark Marine’s
On Apr 02, 2014, our technical engineers went to the Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration in Xiamen to carry out an acceptance test and training of Shark Marine’s Towed Camera System.
In the two days of acceptance test and training, our technical engineers introduced the Shark Marine’s Towed Camera System and its deployment guide to the end users in detail, and showed to the client how to install, check, calibrate the system and sensors in the lab. In addition, on April 03, they tested the Towed Camera System at sea with all end users. The test result showed that all the features meet the requirements of the end user and the stability of the tow body was beyond their imagination. The end users are very satisfied with the test data and results.
This Towed Camera System is a new product of Shark Marine Technology which has conducted many times tests and sea trials. The new type of towed camera system has the following characteristics: simple and compact structure, flexible configuration, easy to transport and deploy. Two persons are enough to deploy and carry out all the survey task.
The attitude of Towed Camera System kept stable and the video images was very clear at the whole test, the pitch and roll all kept within 5 degree no matter at a high speed or a low speed towed, even when carry an additional USBL responder temporarily, the attitude still hasn’t been impacted.
The most important is the Towed Camera System has been integrated with the latest DiveLog software. DiveLog software has been combined the features of survey tasks track planning, task management, data collection, multimedia data management in it. The DiveLog software is compatible with various of charts and maps, and can collect and manage the data from the variety of sensors, which include the forward looking sonar, magnetometer (gradiometer), camera, side scan sonar, scan sonar, GPS, USBL, DVL, LBL and so on. It can also generate automatically the project reports, so the Divelog is a very powerful project management software which totally out of imagination.
