Tecnadyne's primary business focus is remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) research and development which has led to our emergence as a worldwide leader in underwater propulsion, motion control and related technologies. In this capacity, Tecnadyne has served the worldwide robotics community since being founded over 20 years ago. Located in Rancho Santa Fe, California, USA, the company is freeway close to major oceanographic and naval research facilities as well as the San Diego International Airport, numerous hotels and tourist facilities, including the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Wild Animal Park and the SeaWorld theme park. The company's product line includes a range of underwater thruster motors, powered by DC brushless motors, available in power ratings from 0.25hp to 10.0hp. To date, Tecnadyne has manufactured over 4,000 underwater thruster motors. In addition, Tecnadyne manufactures DC electric rotary actuators, DC electric linear actuators, DC powered hydraulic pumps and HPU’s, intelligent hydraulic valve packs, subsea and harsh environment controllers, subsea position sensors, subsea pan & tilt units, and subsea pressure compensators.
