VROV Acceptance in Qingdao National Laboratory

From Mar.15 to 16, 2018, our engineer came to Qingdao National Laboratory to perform an acceptance test for VROV which they purchased from our company with their workers.

Based on the local strength of marine science and technology, Qingdao National Laboratory focuses on the marine areas, including Ocean Dynamic Process And Climate Change, Marine Life Process And Resource Utilization, Benthic Process And Gas Resource, Evolution And Protect Of Marine Ecological Environment and the like. In order to research the deep sea and collect data when using ROV, they brought a VROV (VIRTUAL REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE) from us to train their engineers to operate ROVs skillfully.

GRi’s VROV system offers engineering solutions that are based on high-fidelity simulation of systems and procedures. Because the virtual ROV simulator allows for mission rehearsals on a simulator system, an extensive amount of the risk involved with mission planning may be mitigated. Also, because VROV can be used to validate the design of individual components, it is a powerful tool for enhancing and refining the engineering process. GRi’s VROV simulator has the ability to present a full-field layout and may be used to review the design of subsea equipment and procedures.
