Acceptance and Training of the Side-Scan Sonar and Magnetome
From Oct.20 to 21, 2017, our technical engineers went to a famous university in Dalian to carry out an acceptance and training.
Two days were time-tight but the training was efficiency. After we defining the operations and displaying how to use the equipments at sea, the students quickly master the operation and accomplished the task we assigned very well.

This time we provided our customer with the Side-Scan Sonar named Spot-Scan and the Magnetometer named SDM-4000, researched and developed by Canada Shark Marine Technologies Inc., an industry leader in the design and manufacturing subsea products. The Sport-Scan has a high resolution and a broad sweep range (up to 240m). It can collects and analyses the data through the laptop. What’s more, compact design makes it easier to carry and can be operated by only one single person.

Specifically design for anomaly detection, the SDM-4000 is the perfect economical tool for locating ferrous metal objects, on bottom, or buried. This magnetometer is depth rated to 4000ft and will operate with cable length up to 4000ft. the depressor wing design uses the forward motion of the boat to keep the tow fish down. This saves on the amount of cable required to a certain depth.
